It was very close to the metro and the staff are very careful.
The location was very close to the metro line (Les Gobelins) which made it simple and quick to get to all the touris sites. McDonalds was close by which was great for quick easy meals. Quiet, safe, clean neighbourhood with a lovely park down the road. Rooms were basic but comfortable enough.
Inconsistent housekeeping, we stayed for 8 nights and never had the sheets changed once, towels were changed sporadically and we had to ask for toilet paper twice. Shower was tiny and shower head was poor. Curtain was broken and we asked staff to fix it but they never did. Outdated brochures were in the hotel which meant that we missed a cruise on the river. Internet was bad even in the public area, dropped out constantly and struggled with some sites. Breakfast was a rip off and served from a small dirty kitchenette. Go to Maccas! Overall the hotel had its problems but if your only in paris a few nights it is comfortable and central and we would probably reccommend it
It is well located, there is 1 velib station beside it, and 2 metro station. I know well the area, I use to leave there for 5 years. It was clean.
I have to say the breakfast is not great. You will get one industrial croissant and 1 little piece of industrial bread, a coffee/tea and a juice. To me this is not worth €8/person/day. I don't understand why the product are not coming from the Boulangerie near by.... It will make it so much nicer. Also I needed an iron and the manager told me it was forbidden, I found that weird and not very helpful. So I end up iron with the hair dryer, which it work fine, just take more time. I would not go back myself, and try something else instead. I have to say I don't think I will take breakfast included anymore without knowing the menu, especially in France.
The most pleasant surprise was the personnel - very nice people ready to help. Good location not far from the metro. For those who love walking it is a good chance to explore the city on foot. If you are looking for a place to sleep in Paris it will be fine for you.
The most disturbing was poor soundproofing in rooms. You can literally hear a person in another room sneezing or coughing.
The location was in nice and quiet neighborhood and close to the metro.
*Not clean, always one towel short, never changed sheets (stayed 8 nights) tv did not work, shower very small and moldy, dirty carpet and never vacuumed, small safe that didn't work, no internet in rooms or option to pay for it, smelled smokey, was not given the two twin bedroom that I reserved, some of the staff was rude. I would not stay there again.
The staff was fantastic (available 24/7) and the location was great! The Latin Quarter is a great area and we were very pleased with all the farmer markets and bakeries and butcher shops, and the creperie around the corner is to die for (Try the savory crepe -no joke). No, the hotel is not the Four Seasons, but how long are you hanging out in your hotel room when visiting Paris anyway?
1) Location was good - only a short walk to metro stations taking you into the centre. 2) The double room was a decent size with plenty of shelves, surfaces etc to put stuff. 3) The rooms were clean. 4) There was no noise from the street at night. 5) The staff were able to order us a large taxi to return to Gare du Nord.
1) When we checked out early in the morning, we asked if we could leave our suitcases at the hotel and collect them later in the day. They said yes, but charged 10 euros per room for the service! And we discovered that the bags were stored in the bedroom of a staff member, who was in there asleep when we collected them! 2) The extra charge for breakfast was excessive - 8 euros for croissant/toast etc, plus 4 euros for coffee/tea, plus another 4 euros for juice! We didn't bother - there was a lovely cafe called Alouette about 5 mins walk away where we had croissants, fresh bread and unlimited tea for 5 euros. 3) One of our party was in a single room, which was ridiculously small! 4) And the walls between bedrooms are very thin!
Having read some of the previous reviews of this Hotel, I was a little apprehensive as to the standard of it ... I need not have worried! The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the Hotel itself was clean, very well located and overall good value for money. Although the rooms are not huge, the facilities are adequate and well maintained. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reasonably priced vacation to a beautiful City. No problems at all in all a fantastic experience. Well done "Aladin"
The location is superb, Les Gobelins is a very nice, clean area with all the facilities you need for a stay in Paris. Eating out is a pleasure with so many Cafe's and Restaurants and the local people are friendly and very helpful.
As positive aspects, the location is quite fine which is close to Sorbonne and Bibliotheque Nationale; there is a metro stop nearby(gobelins); the neighbourhood is quite and peaceful. There is a small market, a bakery, a bank and mcdonalds (for tea). Internet is free but only available in the lobby. If you do not want to spend your valuable time and money on the roads trying to reach one place or another, this place is just fine.
On the negative side: there is no breakfast; it is hard to communicate since people at the admin barely know English; very small lobby (you have to use internet there); very small elevator which does not work well.
No tea/coffee facillities in room, cramped room, unhelpful staff and uninterested, part from cleaner, staff did not speak English.High prices for bevergies and breakfast.
The older guy who is often on reception was helpful and friendly. A good budget place to sleep while you explore the city.
nothing, i've been to dozens of hotels in Paris, it is definetely the worse, not mentionning the price...
no heating in the room, it was prtty cold outside, i was freezing dyring 3 nights, awful!
Nice staff, location close to center
The hotel is nicely situated near Gobelins metro in a quiet street. Single rooms are small but adequate and the bathroom functional. Breakfast was reasonable and a generous amount of coffee. WiFi facilities in breakfast room and hotel lobby.
Nothing at all. The hotel staff was disrespectful and offensive.
Do not stay here!!! Worst service ever! Room was dirty. Safety box did not work. When we asked the manager to get it fixed, he yelled at us for not trusting the staff. Bottomline, worst service i have ever experienced in my life.
